Shlomo helping Oscar work through his stress. A menches work is never done! #menschonabench #8daysofmensch #happyhanukkah
Born and raised in Southern California, I’m a mid 30′s woman trying to reconnect to my faith. As a new mother, working woman and a reform Jew, it’s hard to find time to fit Judaism into my life. One thing I do know, there must be mitzvah magic in all of the work and sacrifices a mother makes every day. How can my motherhood make me a better Jew (without having to have 10 under 10)? There must be some religious significance in my every day actions of feeding, clothing, loving and teaching my little mishpacha. I’m hoping that in chronicling my journey at facebook.com/Mommellah, I gain support (from moms, rabbis, friends and strangers) and reach a new level of spiritual awareness that directly connects me to Judaism. I hope that even mothers that are not Jewish can look at my Facebook page and be inspired to be a little more spiritual in their day to day lives and to know that being a mother can connect you to a higher power.
